VM startup sits at 95% before completing

Aloha,

Today we upgarded our final host to 5.0 U1 and began the VMWare Tools/Hardware upgrade. All was ok till a few hours ago when VMs that we power up began sitting at 95% for 10-15 minutes before completing. Once they are up, they act fine.

Any help is appreciated,

Thru trial and error and comparing Prod and Test environments, I pinned it down to HA VM Monitoring. Once turned off all was fine. Can someone explain to me what may have been going on??
