This morning I had our storage admin remove some old LUNs from my vsphere hosts. I got busy, and never rescanned the hosts/removed the LUNs on the ESX side. We started having issues today with VM performance, intermittent network connectivity loss on guests, etc. Looking through the vmkernel logs I immediately noticed the hosts were having storage issues, remembered I was supposed to rescan in the AM!
As soon as I rescanned, all problems were solved.
Im just curious if someone can explain why a vsphere host would have such an issue? I dont have this issue with ESX 3.X hosts....
