VM is not getting boot

We are using ESXI 6.0. Running redhat linux 5 as guest os.

We have extended the diskspace and after 4/5 hours suddenly the VM got hanged. We tried to reboot from vsphere but got below message,

Could not find the file system.
Mount failed.
Kernel Panic- not syncing: Attempting to kill init!

Please help.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

There is enough space available on the datastore and no lock on vm files. Both VMX and VMDK files are unlocked.

Kindly suggest further troubleshooting options.

Best regards,

Imrul
