Hi, I have 2 virtual machines that are Ubuntu 9.04 Server 64-bit and
only run mysql with 9 - 10 lightly used databases. When I go to
performance of these machines, it shows the memory usage percent at
about 97 - 98 percent of the 4 gigs I allocated to it. When i log into
the OS of this machine and do "top" the first service that comes up is
mysql but it only is using 1.5 to 2 % of RAM. I just rebooted 1 of the
virtual machines and now that machine's used memory has just gone down
to 5% . The memory trend is that it gradualy goes back up to 97 % after
about 2.5 weeks.
Any reason or thoughts as to why this would be happening?
