VM client cannot connect the network after migrate.

Hello experts,

I just migrated a VM from ESX4.0 to ESXi5.5 host, then upgrade VM Tools already.

But after that this VM can not connect to oura Local network.

Although, the network is configuration fine and configured on switch also.

Is these any problem related network configuration on new ESXi host?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have multiple VLANs in your network? If yes, have you trunked all VLANs on new esxi host physical host?

Have You created required virtual machine portgroup with vlan id?

Make sure VM network adapter is in connected state.

Thanks,

Haridas

Hello,

Yes, i have multiple VLANs, but trunking in other NIC on this host.

I attached some picture may make this error clearly.

Here is the configuration port on Switch that connect to the NIC on ESXi:

interface GigabitEthernet5/19

description ### To VM03_NIC8 ###

switchport access vlan 122

switchport mode access

speed 1000

duplex full

Is these any miss configuration?

Remove VLAN ID from PortGroup  ServerFarm_A and Try.  (keep default 0 vlan id in portgroup configuration)

You have configured VLAN 122 as native VLAN to interface 5/19 so you don't need to tag that VLAN ID in portgroup.

Thanks,

Haridas
