VM Size ?

Hey all ..
I have already 2 physical servers i convert all of them to virtual but the size of servers more than 250 G for each one my question is fine or no ? becouse by this way i can't backup the vm's it too big . these servers act as applications servers were have a lot of data in D partition so is that okay to convert the D partition also or i have to copy it in normal storage to work in SMB server instaed to be Virtual HD ?

Hi,

If you have datastores with VMFS 5,

You can create files with 2TB!

If you have space, you can convert it with that space.

It won´t be a problem, and it will work great Smiley Wink

if you plan to use Converter against ESXi 5.1 do not forget that Converter 5 will not work - use an older version

By VMware standards, that is tiny.

There won't be an issue,
