Hello,
we have a problem with hosts ESXi 5.1 (799733): the VMs sometimes lose the network connection. The issue is not involved on all virtual machine but random.
If we disconnect and reconnect the virtual nic all work fine.
Please, could you tell me what I can do to fix it?
Regards,
Denis
Make sure VM tools are upto date... this will resolve most of the network and NIC related issues with respect to VMware.
after reconnecting the vNIC does issue reoccur?
Thank for answering.
Yes the vmware tools are uptodate for that version.
I can't answer you, because the issue is happened 2 day ago and at the moment no issue for that VM.
But this morning is happened with another VM (never happended before)
Regards,
Denis
give us more details
what virtual nic adopter you are using.
which guest operating system.
Yes sure.
For all VMs I have:
The NIC driver is VMXNET 3
The OS is Windows Server 2008 R2 64
One Nic connected to Standard vSwitch
Virtual machine version: 8
The VM tools uptodate.
Right now I've noticed that there are 3 node (3 hosts on the pharm) and the issue is happened just in one.
Thanks and regards,
Denis
Are the VM server configured as Microsoft NLB server in Windows Operating system?
check if the Microsoft configured as a unicast NLB in that case you may face this issue.
