VDR backups

I had two servers that (I guess) stuck doing a backup, then after I stopped the backups the Reclaim started.  The Reclaim was at 0% for along time so I tried to stop it and the stop is not working it's just sitting there at 0% and the stop is grayed out .

restart the datarecovery service on your VDR appliance and to do so :

  1. Log in to the VDR appliance as root from either an SSH session or directly from the console. The default login credentials for the VDR appliance are:
    • Username: root
    • Password: vmw@re
  2. Run this command to stop the datarecovery service (wait about 10 seconds before starting the service again):

    # service datarecovery stop
  3. Run this command to start the datarecovery service:

    # service datarecovery start
  4. Type logout and press Enter to disconnect from the ESX host.

    Note: If the service fails to start, restart the VDR appliance.
