VCenter cluster

I have a vCenter server that is a standalone server. 3 hosts no shared storage.  I want to start to play with vMontion. I understand for something like that I need a cluster. I don't currently have one setup. We are fairly new clustering. Once I create my cluster, I just move my host to the cluster and then the VM?

Thank you

Basically, that's all you have to do.In order to be able to use vMotion, you also need to verify that your hosts have compatible CPUs.

In order to use vMotion with local storage, you have to use vCenter Server 5.5 as well as ESXi 5.5 hosts. The lowest vSphere edition which supports this scenario is vSphere Essentials Plus 5.5.
