VAAI on vsphere standard?

I thought VAAI only cane with vsphere enterprise?

I've been running our replacement vsphere cluster in eval mode until just now when we've lost our old 3.5 boxes, so I entered our vsphere keys into vcenter and applied them to the hosts, and whilst things like FT and Storage vMotion are immediately unavailable, the "Hardware Acceleration" column next to the datastores still shows "Supported"?

Thanks.

it shows that the storage is ready for VAAI. Have a read at this blog: http://www.techopsguys.com/2010/09/07/vsphere-vaai-only-in-enterprise/

Thanks, figured it would say enabled/disabled or some visual clue but that makes sense.

We use vSphere Standard hosts with VAAI bundles installed, we have NetApp NFS filer and VAAI works for them. All clone operations are instantaneous so copy offload is happening.

Can anyone else confirm that VAAI can work with Standard edition?
