Hello,
I want to gather ESXi host resource utilization information with real-time like collection intervals (20-seconds or similar) but may need this information for longer than the 1-hour that I can export to CSV from the vSphere client. I'm thinking resxtop in batch mode with an appropriate delay parameter and number of iterations should be perfect - dump this to CSV, configure the .esxtop50rc file and I should be good.
But I'm struggling to figure out how I can get numbers that correspond to the following host level memory parameters that I can get from the vSphere performance tab:
Consumed
Active
Granted
Utilization %
Swap used
All of the information that's available in the memory screen in resxtop and via batch mode seems to be at granular world / group level ... is there an easy way to get the above parameters at host level? If I can't get it via resxtop, can I get it in any other way without going to 3rd-party tool or PowerCLI, APIs etc ?
Thanks,
number1vspherefan.
