Using Flash Drive and External HD

I have an external hard drive and flash drive that I'm trying to use on one of our Windows virtual machines. Is there something I need to do for the vm to recognize that something's plugged into the USB drive? I've got it plugged in but it's not showing up.

Thanks.

Hi,

ESXi 4.1 supports USB and all you need to do is add USB controller to your VM that will allow USB devices to get detected. Follow the article below

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102229...

A single USB drive can be detected on 1 VM only and not on multiple VMs at the same time.

Hope the information is useful.
