User permission for an specific datastore

Hi,

My system runs an ESXi 4.0.0 (1335992). I would like to know if it is possible to assing a user permission for only allowing access a new user to a specific datastore.

Thanks.

Hi,

After log in in vSphere Client and selecting "Home", I only see Inventory and Roles, but not Datastores :smileycry:

Sounds like you are connecting directly to the ESX host with your vCenter client. Do you have vCenter? Datastore permissions are controlled by vCenter and therefore you need a vCenter server to be able to apply datastore permissions.
