Use ESXi3 3.5 for ESXi4 works?

Hi all,

Related to the fail upgrade attempts from ESXi3 3.5 to ESXi4. I'm thinking of just installing fresh the ESXi4.

But, can I use my ESXi3 3.5 license for that?

You can't re-use the old license - but if you're using the free license, you can just re-register for the v4 download to get a new code.

What if I haven't used the license at all? It's a brand new server. Is that possible if I use my ESXi3 3.5 license for ESXi4?

3.5 License is for 3.5. ESXi 4 requires it's own NEW license.
