Using VMware Workstation 9 and 10 uploading virtual machines to my evaluation ESXi 5.5 system is failing with the following error message:
Upload Failed: The operation is not supported on the object.
As an alternative, I converted a VM to an OVF and tried using vSphere to .Deploy OVF Template with the following message:
Failed to deploy OVF package: The operation is not supported on the object
How can I find out what is causing the upload to fail for most of my VMs? Of the 10 VMs I tried to upload I was only able to get 2 of them onto the ESXi server.
