Upgrading Virtual Hardware (PVSCSI)

Any recommendations for upgrading the virtual disks to use the paravirtual SCSI (PVSCSI) adapters? Scott Lowe's blog had a great step-by-step for upgrading hardware (which I now need to do on several VM.) He says the PVSCSI works fine but that VMware doesn't support booting from a disk attached to a PVSCSI adapter (VMware KB 1010398,) so I'm a little concerned about doing it (for support reasons.)

Any thoughts?

you only get high benefit for disks with huge io demands on a san.

You won't get much performance benefit by setting it for you OS, and you would have to redo you boot drives to enable.

Sounds like a painful process, rendering your system as unsupported for dubious benefits for an OS drive.

My thoughts are, "don't do it."
