Upgrade from ESX 4.1 260247 to 988178?

Can I go from ESX 4.1 260247 to 988178? Or do I need to do any interim updates? Thanks!

Thanks. I'll schedule that when I have some downtime.

This is the update doc I should be using correct? http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=101620...

I suppose that you haven't VUM otherwise you can handle upgrade from there.

On ESX the esxupdate utility works fine.

Is quite easy.

Upload your zip file and use (check the syntax to be sure):

esxupdate --bundle=ZIP_FILE update

Note: host must be in maintenace mode

Do I even need to unZIP it?

No, you give a single "bundle" file
