I am going to be performing an upgrade on two servers from 5.1 to 6.0, one is a Lenovo the other an older Dell T310. I found a custom ISO for Lenovo for 6.0U2 but there are no custom Dell ISO's and I cannot find a standard ESXi 6.0U2 ISO, only 6.0U3. Should I install the customer 6.0U2 on the Lenovo and the standard 6.0U3 on the Dell? I use veeam to replicate VM's from the Lenovo to the Dell, I assume the fact that there is an update difference between them shouldn't make any different to the guest VM's or be that big a deal?
The following may answer your query about Veeam replicating between different vSphere versions: Veeam Replication between vSphere 5.x and vSphere 6
Keep in mind that based on VMware HCL, your DELL server do not support vSphere 6.0, see:
So, I recommend you check the HCL and only install a supported version: VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search
Duly noted, however based on some Googling it looks like it will install and work for Veeam's sake I don't think I can replicate between two different versions of Esxi but I will check.
Thanks

Thanks very much that does answer my question.
Just wondering now if there is anything I have to watch out for in doing this upgrade. I see there is a direct upgrade path from 5.1U3 to 6.0U2 so I am ok there. I will have backups done via Veeam before the upgrade, just haven't done an upgrade in awhile.
