Upgrade from 3.5.3 to 4

Hi All,

am have a test setup in which am doing a testing of esx 4.0, for the testing purpose i have upgraded the VI 3.5 to 4.0 with all the features enabled and tested working fine. After upgrading from 3.5.3 to 4. 0 am getting the HA error as below , it it was working fine before upgradation, please help me to slove the below issue.

Cannot complete the configuration of the HA agent on the host. See the task details for additional information. Misconfiguration in the host network setup

Go to cluster / proerties / HA / Advanced Options button

In a black row, simply add das.isolationAddress with (in the value colum) the IP of your test.

Check that each IPs of one ESX has a right correspective in the other ESX.

Have you also tried to reinstall HA agent from VC?

Could you post the additional info the error is referring to! You could try to remove the host from the cluster and add it again!

Ensure your ESX hosts can ping the service console gateway (by default this is the isolation address).

It's an test setup eneviroment, there is no gateway as such

You have only 2 host?

In this case you need that the gateway is present or you need to add an advanced option for an alternate IP to ping.
