Upgrade Equallogic firmware

we have equallogic storage devices and we are going to upgrade the firmware on them

do we have to turn off the esx 4.1 hosts completely to do the firmware on the storage  or a maintance mode should be enough

i couldnt find anything in the equallogic documentation that could help

if your host is in maintennce mode it should be fine

eq says that the patch install shouldnt affect anything since there are two controllers, and the reboot should take under ~1 minute
