Upgrade ESXi 3.5 to 4.1

I'm trying to upgrade an installation of ESXi 3.5 to 4.1

I've seen the links on how to do it, however, my problem is that I cannot find the vSphere Host Update Utility 4.0 that they keep talking about.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

you can go to 4.0, but not to 4.1, unless you have VUM

You 'll have to download the vSphere 4.0.x client and install that, enabling the host update utility. Below are good instructions

I came across that link too, but again, could not find the program he mentioned.

I downloaded and installed a file called "VMware-viclient-all-4.1.0-258902.exe" but was not able to find that update manager program.

you need to 4.0 client, not 4.1 as the host update utility doesn't exist anymore in 4.1. Do you have an SnS agreenment with VMware, you can log in to download ESXi 4.0.0U2, and there will be a link to download the client
