What is the correct procedure of upgrading ESX 4.0 to ESX 4.0 update 1. Can i do it using iso image of Update 1 using Update manager.

You don't need the ISO image, if you have VUM, just create a baseline for U1 and attach it to your Host and remediate against it.
When i create the baseline for the update It asks for an iso or zip file
I know it does if you update for 3.5 to 4.x, but I was unaware for U1. Just download the ISO or zip and upload it to VUM, that should fix it.
