Updatemanger unable to update the host patches in ESXI 5.1

Hello,

Recently i have updated my vcenters from vSphere 5.0u1 to vSphere  5.1 . The update was success.

Now i have updated one esxi host  from 5.0u1 to 5.1 useing update manger.i have used  HP customized esxi image. this is also went smooth.(esxi build number 799733).after that when i try to install the patches on esxi server. i am getting below error.

Remediate entity esx1.domain.com  Software or system configuration-on of host esx1.domain.com is incompatible. Check scan results for details.

in the events ab its showing like below.

Could not scan  esx1.domain.com  error 2/25/2013 9:33:00 PM

Scan entity esx1.domain.com

Is  any one faceing this kind of issue.

Do you have any 3rd party VIBs that are installed on there?  I have ran into this with having something like the Cisco 1000v VIB installed.  Sometimes a reboot of the host will resolve it.

Hi , I haven't installed the thirdparty VIB's.Also i have rebooted the host but no use.

Have you tried a rescan of the host in VUM?

Yes,but still i am getting same error. I have used the HP customized ESXI image. Is there e any problem with thirdparty  image

That is a possibility.  Why don't you check the update manager logs: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=203803...

And also check the host logs right after trying to patch:

I would check the varios VMK logs
