Update from esxi 5.5.0 to HP custom ESXi image 5.5 U2

I have a HP Proliant ML 330 G6, installed with a standard vmware esxi 5.5.0.

with this standard esxi version, I don't have any info/monitor of storage controller (HP p410 smart array).

Is it safe and correct to install HP custom ESXi 5.5 U2 image  from HP ???

In order to update I have only to insert CD from HP ISO image and then select "update" ?

You can do that but better would be use the esxcli to upgrade the host using the profile which contain the HP specific vib.

Esxclu software profile update -d <deopt location> -p <profile name>
