Update Esxi 4.1 to 5.1 update 2

Hi

Can some one help me on this..

I'm unable to update Esxi 4.1 build 800380 to Esxi 5.1 update 2 Build 1483097.

Downloaded update-from-esxi5.1-5.1_update02.zip and uploaded to update manager patch repository and created a base line with hostpatch and tried to update, But when i tried to scan compliance is showing not applicable.

Tried to upload Esxi image to updated manager it is failing.

Tried iso :

VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0.update02-1483097.x86_64.iso

VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0.update01-1065491.x86_64.iso

VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0-799733.x86_64.iso

VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.0.0.update03-1311175.x86_64.iso

Error :The uploaded upgrade package cannot be used with VMware vsphere Update Manager

Hi Vineeth,

I see that you are using 55VUM setup for upgrade.

This is not supported actually.You need to have 51VUM setup for upgrading to 51U2.

"To upgrade from ESXi/ESX 4.0/4.1 to a version ESXi 5.x earlier than your current version of vSphere Update Manager you must use either an Interactive Installation or a Scripted upgrade."

Please have a look @ VMware KB: Uploading an ESX upgrade bundle to vCenter Update Manager 5.x fails with the error: Canno... for more info!!
