Update ESXi670-202111001.zip

i have downloaded the new file from 2021-11-23 ESXi670.zip, set the server in maintenance mode and install it.

After reboot i see not the new build 18828794, but the old build 17700523.

I see the following error on vcenter :

Failed to exit namespaces from maintenance mode due to Error: system_error Messages: vapi.invalid.result.code<Recv of frame failed with code: 400 Bad Request> . Retry 9

It stay on 52%

What can i do?

Let's start with providing some details.

  1. what was the ESXi host's previous version/build
  2. has the host been installed/patched using a vendor customized image
  3. how exactly did you update/patch the host (in case of a CLI command, please provide the complete command line)

i have the same procedure, stop virtual machines, maintenance mode, esxcli command with the same syntax, reboot the server, terminate maintenance mode and now i see the correct build.

But after this, vcenter 7.03b that works before, don't start on the ip address with "no healthy upstream", but with the same ip-address with port:5480 the web interfacce comes correctly.

Vcenter is installed on a other vmware vsphere server with esxi 7.03b

Before i have import the zip file in vcenter!

if it's the reason, in the moment i don't know
