Update ESX4.1 U1 to ESX5 via Update Manager

Dear all

I have a ESX with initially installed ESX 4.1 U1 (4.1.0, 260247) and I am trying to upgrade it to ESXi 5 via the update manager. According to the documentation, a newly installed ESX 4.1 should be able to upgrade to ESXi 5 via the update manager. But when I try to do the upgrade in the update manager, the below error was shown, so may I know any one try to upgrade ESX 4.1 to ESXi 5 vai update manager?

The host partition layout is not suitable for upgrade.

There's another requirement, which - if not met - results in the error message you see. The VMFS partition has to start after sector 1843200.
