Unable to select users and groups from domain controller

Hi everyone,

I´am unable to select users and groups for permissions from our domain controller although the ESXi has joined the domain. Enclosed a screenshot from the settings, that you see, that I can only selct local users.

What has to be done to be able to select users and groups from the domain?

I think the steps for Integrating MS AD Authentication are:

- Create a local user account on the esx host for each AD User that is to be authenticated

- Run esxcfg-auth to configure the ESX host to be AD Integrated

Don't know if it is the same for ESXi because I don't know if the esxcfg-auth is present in ESXi...

I think the answer can be found here:

http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=101500...

VMware ESXi does not support Active Directory authentication of local users at this time.
