Hi all -
I have a Canon Pixma MP780 multifunction printer (fax/scanner/printer/copier) that I have hooked up to my desktop via USB running ESXi 5. I have the option in my Win7 VM settings to add a USB device and I can add a USB device which lists Canon MP780.
Within the Win7 VM, a new device shows up in device manager listed as MP780 (under Other Devices), but the only thing that shows up under printers is the MP780 fax (I think on a physical Win7 machine it shows both the fax and the printer).
Installing the latest drivers for Canon gets me to a point where it asks me to connect and turn on the printer, even though it already is.
Should I chalk this up to an incompatiblity and/or driver issue?
