The infrastructure consists of an ESX 4 host with VMs that have verson 7 hardware and I'm using vSphere 4 client.
If I try to product or view performance reports on the VMs older than 1 day, I receive " The performance data is currently not available for this entity "
Is there some setting I can set to allow me to go back to a month or even a year, as the client indicates that it can ?
Thanks for your suggestions.
ESX standalone do not store performance data for more than a day.

Thanks for the response Marcelo. However, this ESX host is not a standalone host. As a matter of fact, it is managed be a virtual center server and a member of a cluster.
You said "an ESX", I thought it was alone......
You are checking the data connecting directly to the ESX or to the vCenter?
If you check at kb.vmware.com, you will find some articles about "performance data", you can try then some for vSphere. Also check the database size limitation at the SQL Database Server for vCenter.
