Unable to create snapshot in one VM with virtual RDM after upgrade to vsphere

Hi.

We have upgraded to vsphere one VM with a virtual RDM of 1.8 TB.

Datastore where reside virtual VMDK and VM , has a block of 2MB.

In ESX 3.5Update 3, we were able to snapshot VM. In vsphere we aren't, we are receiving:

"file <unspecified filename> is larger than the maximum size supported by datastore"

We haven't any datastore with 8MB block available.

Is there any way to solve this issue?

Can we change block size without destroying all data?

Thank you very much.

Unfortunately is not possible.

Interesting problem... seem a bug of vSphere.

Try to open a call to VMware support.
