Unable to connect host to vCenter

I am receiving the following message after attempting to connect a host to vCenter.  The host was previously connected to this vcenter and its hostname was changed.  It was removed from vCenter.  Now it cannot be readded.  Here is the message:

"Permission to perform this operation was deined.  You do not hold privilege "System > View" on folder ""

Take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/3824568 to see whether this helps.

I'm also seeing this error:

you do not hold privilege "System > View" on folder when trying to edit replication settings

I'm in the vSphere web client and go into Replication. When I try to edit settings, or pause, etc. I receive that error.
