Unable to change Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown Manual Startup Order

Dear all,

Currently using ESXI 5.5 essentials

I am trying to change the startup order of VMs in "Virtual Machine Startup and Shutdown" settings. (example: from vm1,vm2,vm3 to vm3,vm1,vm2)

However, When I tried to change the manual startup order, it revert back to same settings after i refresh the screen / or move away to another settings and click back.

This is for the purpose for UPS gracefully shutdown.

Any advise how to resolve?

thank you

Is it Essentials or Essentials plus? I have to ask because if it's plus and you have HA enabled for cluster then automatic startups feature is disabled. If it's not the question then another possible thing  - you have startup set up at vm level and that overrides your host settings.

If you are able to, try creating a vApp. Within the vApp you can specify a startup order.
