Unable to burn DVD of ESX 4

After download of ESX 4 Std (esx-DVD-4.0.0-164009.iso), I tried to burn a DVD without sucess.

I´m using Nero 6. Nero ejects the DVD media and ask me to insert a CD media.

The problem: the media has 800 MB. It´s very difficult to find CD media with this capacity.

I tried to copy rhe files inside the .ISO and burned a DVD, but I had another problem. The DVD is not bootable.

Help me !

so if you launch Nero SmartStart Essentials, you have the option in the drop down to choose CD or DVD, you chose DVD?

I use MagicISO, but the free version only lets you do 300MB

Yes I´m choosing DVD.

If I choose DVD Nero ejects the media.

If I choose CDR Nero says that media is so small.

....and you are 100% sure the DVD media you are using is good? Can you just use the .iso file and remotely mount the .iso via remote console like iLO, DRAC, etc?

I Used DEAMON Tools Lite, mounted de .ISO file in a virtual CDROM.

I copied the files and burned a DVD with them, but this DVD was not bootable.

It was a Nero 6 limitation.

I used Free DVD ISO Burner.

Hello,

Which one have you used. Searching the ISO burning programs ZOO isn't a five-second task Smiley Wink

I tried two of the with success:

1. http://www.freeisoburner.com/

- does not require installation (just single exe file you need)

- if used with RW media (I used DVD+RW) will not give you any notification if the media isn't empty, just starts writing

- simple and quick

2. http://www.minidvdsoft.com/download.html

- requires installation

- gives you a warning that the media isn't blank (RW) but is NOT able to erase it before writing so you need to use another tool first to erase the disc

My choice: option 1.) ;-D
