Unable to Mount 7 TB Datastore on ESXi free edition

We have an ESXi 4.1 server that has two RAID Arrays locally one is a 32 GB RAID1 where the Hypervisor resides, and the second is a 7 TB RAID5 that I am not allowed to "mount" as a datastore.

Any ideas why?  Is it due to limitations on ESXi free edition?

ESXi 4.x and earlier versions are limited to a LUN/datastore size of 2TB minus 512 Bytes due to SCSI-2 limitations. With ESXi 5.x you can have LUNs/datatores with up to 64 TB. However there are currently some issues with larger sizes with a couple of local RAID controllers (mainly HP).

I am downloading vSphere 5 and I will try running it to see it resolves my issue.
