Unable to Export or copy Template from VI Client ?

Hi people,

Is there any reason why I cannot export my template into my Windows XP Desktop ?

here's the error message: Export Failed:Failed to export Virtual Machine: File sanfs://vmfs_uuid:4c0712cf-50fd2e0f-0524-18a9054fcddc/W2k8_64-Bit_DMZ-x/W2k8_64-Bit_DMZ-x_1.vmdk was not found

Hi Al,

It sounds like the export feature is looking for a second .vmdk that's not present, or at least not where the system thinks it should be.  What's the story on this template?  How did you build it? Has the VM been modified, moved, or copied before or after template creation?
