Unable to Create Partition of Boot LUN

Hi All,

We are unable to create a VMFS partition of boot LUN in ESXi 7.2.

Some more deteils may help understanding the issue.

Please explain what exactly you are doing, and what happens. Some screenshots might help as well.

Hi,

Nothing is showing here.

Note-It's a ESXI boot LUN.

VMware never supported creating a VMFS partition on the ESXi boot volume from the GUI.
If there's free disk space you may be able to create a VMFS partition from the command line.

However, what confuses me is the "Legacy MBR" partition label.
Can you please post the following command's output (replace the DeviceName)
partedUtil getptbl "/vmfs/devices/disks/DeviceName"
