USB 3.0 not available for macOS

I've installed macOS Sierra and High Sierra, and I'm trying to connect an iOS device using USB (lighting) cable through VMWare remote console to the virtual machine.

But for some reason USB 3.0 doesn't show up in the VM settings.

How can I add USB 3.0 to the settings of a VM that is running macOS?

This may depend upon the hardware for the ESXi host on which this macOS VM is running. What is the hardware you have?

I'm not sure where the previous responses went, but to summarize what was stated earlier:  You claim to be running ESXi on non-Apple hardware. This hardware is in turn running a Mac OS virtual machine. As stated, this is a violation of both Apple's and VMware's EULA which prohibits you from running Mac OS on any hardware that is not Apple branded. As a result, we cannot assist you with any questions or problems related to running in this illegal state.
