Two nics after migrating VM to new host

after migrating a vm to a new host, with a different Vswitch, I have two nics now.

one is the old 20-net and now the new 20net.

if I remove the nic from the devices tab it still shows the old 20-net under the summary page.

I was thinking of removing the hardware nic and then migrating back to the old host and restart the process but this time remove the original nic prior to remigration again.

Welcome to the Community - You should just be able to edit the settings of the VM and point the vNIC to the new VM Port Group -

if I edit the hardware setting and remove the only one NIC, they summary tab still displays the old NIC.

if I go to MAPS its connect to both

Does the VM have an active snapshot? In case of a snapshot the old network connection is remembered in the VM's snapshot file (.vmsn) in case you want to revert to the snapshot. As soon as you delete the snapshot, the "phantom" network will disapear.
