Two guests on same network: One fine, the other is not sending packets on nic

Hi all,

I've just set up a new ESX 4.1 cluster. I've created the network and 7 VMs.

The problem is: 2 VMs is getting network issues: No sending packets on nic (by the Windows network activity counter). On these vms I'm getting some received packets.

The odd thing is the other 5 vms is working fine on the same virtual switch. All VMs are Windows 2008 R2 ENT. + Vmware tools installed. I've moved to another host. Same issue.

PS: The hosts are in evaluation period because the client didn't receive the license paper yet....

One VM (the first I've created) whith is problematic I've completed deleted it and reinstalled the SO. Same issue.

Does any one has any clue about this issue?

Regards,

Davi

Hey,

Have you checked that the network adapter is connected?

You may want to provide some more information on virtual switch set up for the guys here to be able to help you.

Hi,

Are you aware if there is VLAN tagging implemented on you virtual infrastructure?

Are you just using a standard virtual switch with one port group?
