Trouble with Realtek RTL8211CL

Hi,

I am pretty new to VMware. I tried to install the ESXi 5 but during the installation it says that it didn't find any ethernet device and cancels the installation. The PC I'm using has an onboard Realtek RTL8211CL Ethernet Controller. I googled for a driver to create a customized installation but couldn't find one.

I don't know what I have to do now and would be thankful for any advice.

Thank you in advance and sorry for my bad english.

The simple answer is you need to replace that card with a supported device. You will need to disable the onbard Realtek and get a Intel NIC. ESX does not have drivers for RealTek

To see the complete hardware compatability list go to URL

www.vmware.com/go/hcl/
