Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a Blue Coat proxy transparent inline for a virtual Win7 client but have some major issues.
The setup is as follows
Virtual Win7 Client -> vSwitch1 (no physical interface) -> Blue Coat VM with a software bridge card -> vSwitch2 (with one physical interface)
On the vSwitch2 is the default gateway. Both the Win7 and the default gw is on the same subnet.
Both switches has promiscous mode accept.
The Blue Coat VM has an ip adress on the same subnet as well for management purpose.
From Win7 -> BC VM no issues what so ever, ping -t can go forever
From BC VM -> default gw (or internet hosts) no issues at all, ping -t can go forever
From Wint7 -> def. gw or internet major issues. I can have a stable ping -t for 20 sec, sometimes for minutes but suddenly I get timeouts, then I get Host unreachable .. then it can suddenly come back again.
First I though it was an arp issue but even with static arp on the client it fails from time to time.
After speaking with Blue Coat support they think it's an ESX issue.
Do you have any ideas?
