Transfering datastorage LUNs via RDM disk to\from Windows VM: issue

Dear sirs,

I'm testing esxi 6.5 on one of the hosts, now i've hit weird issue.

One Rdm disk is connected to Windows VM (tried both virtual and physical compat. modes) which is direct connection to LUN "test" from my SAN datastore (Fujitsu Eternus DX100s4)

And I have some data there on disk. (20TB, ReFS filesystem, GPT type partition)

Now, I disconnected RDM disk from VM and removed rdm disk files from datastore (actually just a descriptors as far as i understand). Then i'm mapped that test LUN to Windows 2016 physical server via SAN (mutlipath drivers are enabled on that Windows server).

But it's shows that disk as RAW filesystem, despite that it also shows, that it's initialized and GPT type. But the actual partition is RAW type.

So, I connected it back, adding that disk back to same old VM - it's working - data is there!

So,  I've made second test LUN on my SAN storage, that time i initialized it on physical Windows server, copied some data to it and then put it offline.

Then connected it also as RDM to the same old VM - boom! Also partition is RAW and not usable.

What am i doing wrong?

So it has to be some kind of issue with Windows then.

Everything works fine when transferring data volume on NTFS between VM and physical server.

So it's ReFS incompatibility issue transferring from VM (Windows 10 pro RS3) to physical server Windows 2016 std RS1.

I know that's it's not the appropriate place to ask about that, but may be someone has that experience already.
