Traffic between Guests

Hi

Two VM guests on the same server host  (are in same Virtual switch)  copy copy Data between them using DNS name,

how the traffic is transferred ?

i mean, Data should use the same Network card (and not the physical cable),  and only DNS resolving, uses the Physical cable, am i correct ?

Hi,

when the VMs are in the same VLAN on the same portgroup the traffic will be switched in the virtual switch and won't leave the host. Only the DNS request will go to the physical network.
