Toshiba hard drive cannot be used as datastore in ESXi

Hi A new Toshiba hard drive(4TB/USB) works well in PC. I want the drive to be used as datastore in ESXi. When other drives are plugged into this ESXi host, I can see them in Storage/Devices of the host. But I cannot see this Toshiba hard drive. Looks like it cannot be supported. Do we have any solutions for this issue? Thank you.

I ran into this problem. Some USB disks do not see ESXi. If you have done the steps correctly and still does not see the disc, unfortunately there is nothing to do.

Please remember that using USB Datastores is not supported by VMware so if you have problems, do not open service requests for that.
