The virtual machine failed to become vSphere HA Protected

Yesterday, my end user requested my support for one issue, “The virtual machine failed to become vSphere HA Protected”. This error is a common issue, which has existed on ESXi 5.0 and 5.1 version. Currently there is no resolution.

To work around this issue and make the virtual machine temporarily show as protected again, disable and re-enable HA.

Current solution is enable/disable HA only..

VMware has to come with solution
