After update esxi 7 host to build 16850804 i can not patch this host to 17168206 it give me error : the host returns esxupdate error codes 1 check the lifecycle manager log,  in log I see: The transaction is not supported: File to be removed/installed is overlaid by existing vib, I tried update with out vcenter it give me same error

I had a similar issue where patching failed due could not install bootbank live message.   I rebooted the host then tried to patch again.   This time I got an error indicating it was unable to download the file from that location.    I simply copied the patch file to a different location and now I was able to patch the host.
