Is there a way to chose under which ESXi directory a new VM template shoud be placed when its created through vCenter?
When you create template from a VM on vCenter you're asked about which datastore should this template be saved but you are not given option to chose under which directory within that datastore so its by default saved at root /
instead, we want our datastore be more organized rather than everything being thrown at /
i tried one workaround to copy the template from the / directory to the desired one but for some reason if your template has thin disk its going to be copied as thick!
using ESSXi/vCenter 6.7
