To temporary resolve this irritating " Failed to load tpm" for the owners without TPM module (as example in Russia they are forbidden...?!) issue - just comment in the file /etc/vmware/init/init.d/02.tpm the command esxcfg-init -t

where the key -t means --tpm Enable TPM if available

I have this same error. The kb says to safely ignore it, which is fine. The strange thing is I can't access the console by hitting ALT-F11!?? why can i not use my keyboard anymore once it loads with this error? Strange ... :smileyshocked:
