    Dear all,

    i need to refresh my mind.

    Under configuration=>memory i see System memory (more than 4 gb)

    What is that "System memory" ?

    Which value does it indicate about physical memory?

    That is the memory reserved for VMkernel, drivers and the virtualization level.

    So it is the same as CoS (ESX Console Operating System) which is approx 1 GB max ?

    No, cos is only the console. If you look at where the original poster is pointing to you'll find the console listed there, as well.
